Except Flatpaks, these seem to not open the new terminal window now, so I'll need to do some repairs

Nah Flatpaks open an alternative Terminal window and cachyOS no longer works with it - it did originally so I'll just have to figure it out later. Also the shortcuts on CachyOS were working, but after a few updates the env GDK_BACKEND=x11 llstore to run it from the shortcuts it no longer works, does fine if I change it back to just exec=llstore but then it doesn't allow window positions, so the notifications and mini installer end up in the middle of the screen, not on the edges like I want. but anyway, these are minor

Ah ok, the flatpak packages haven't installed and it was trying to use gnome-terminal instead of konsole, my guess is if I picked cinnamon as the desktop it would fix both these issues, but would be limited to x11 no wayland, which is the reason to move from mint to CachyOS in the first place IMO.

Well that changed things - just typed in sudo pacman -Sy flatpak and rebooted, turns out I enable flathub, but never installed flatpak or offer it in LLStore. Time to make it check if it is avaialble or not, LLStore has a bunch of them so it needs to work... It is Arch BTW

hmmm I do install flatpak in the flathub item, BUT it can't install flathub until you reboot in CachyOS, due to it not having a working flatpak until then

The gnome terminal works fine once flatpak was installed, the error screen was due to trying to run flatpak and it not existing

Also need to install fuse and fuse2 for appimages to work, but then they all seem to run fine

Hope all is good with the forum , I uploaded a few .iso files to find if we had space and I see we do .

am I to understand that in the near future, you will make CachyOS release? Would wayland fix the issue with screen resolution being too high on iMac retina screen and many apps not being able to use the general larger scaling setting?

No, what I said was making a CachyOS ISO is pointless, instead just install CachyOS and follow the guild to install LLStore on a vanilla install:

CachyOS is a rolling release, so a snap shot in time isn't worth my effort as what makes it really great is it's installer, you can pick any Desktop Environment you want etc. so for me to lock it to one DE is a bad idea. much better to just install the Store, it works with any Distro, just a few glitches that need working out on some.

To the others that have not responded to the change from .org to .net , evidently it is not a concern .

In the future I will nuke their accounts and others to keep LastOS alive , if you want to have a home here , just log in and be a part of . I can not force anyone to come and have a good time here today .

Please consider that I am still without a home and have to accept what happened .
