Photoshop fully working on Linux

It's just a matter of time but

They have modified the WINE to work with Photoshop etc installers and the actual apps run. I managed to use camera raw and liquify tools with Photoshop, meaning that in the next few months or so, we should have a fully compatible Photoshop available, this is just the start of what will be. I know some of you may be holding off until Linux can replace everything you need from Windows, but you all really should start to tinker with Linux to be prepared for the future. Microsoft have alreay said they will NOT go back to the way things were, they are focused on AI, Subscriptions, Online Accounts, and making the OS worse for using and more aimed at serving ads to it's users. Meaning 99% of Windows PC's you come across will be running windows 11 and be a nightmare with Bitlocker lock outs, Onedrive pushing all the files online and deleting the local copies, 2FA with things you can't access if the internet is down, just generally, trying to control what you do on your PC, disguised as "features" and "convenience".

Now I am just sharing because I care, you're welcome to do whatever you want. I just feel unless we the tinkerers take the time to offer support and stepping stones for new users, they will stay on Windows and be forced to adopt their evil ways.

Another note, you DO NOT need to run the Proton library they use, that only has the Installers patched to work with their custom Wine build, you can just use experimental and get the exact same results, it seems to be they already have the patches to use 3D Acceleration fully in Proton Experimental.

Photoshop 2019 works great, he used 2021, but I don't see a reason to upgrade it. the 2025 version wont start due to cloud issues (I am not sure if they have that patched in the custom version as I've not restarted steam yet to have it load the custom one, so will post later).

-EDIT-

Nah my version of Photoshop 2025 doesn't run, but if you used the original installer you may have more luck.

Now the funny part. LastOSLinux includes Lightroom and it runs fine (not as fast as native and an occasional glitch), but it runs, yet using the patched version with the Patched Wine through steam it doesn't work, meaning it's missing libraries etc that I include using Visual Runtimes pack we have always used.

-EDIT-

Hmm I think Wine 11 is also helping with things. I've installed it and added a version of Wine 11 to LLStore, that may be all it needs, use any adobe installed as I fixed the issue with it extracting to the wrong folder, meaning native Last10/11 builds of Adobe Photoshop now work flawlessly with LastOSLinux on Wine 11.
