I consolidated my entire work around mental health into one piece of work

I know I'm too much. Here's 29 songs and a book about it anyway
It took me twenty-five years to figure out what was actually wrong with me. I wrote a book so my kids wouldn't have to.
That book, How to Be Alive, came out of me in four days flat, non-stop, in August 2024 — I watched my kids starting to run into the exact same struggles it took me a quarter of a century to name, and I couldn't stand the idea of them walking into that blind, the way I did.
I always meant to turn some of its themes into songs and perform them myself, but severe burnout took that off the table. So I turned to AI music tools instead — first track in April 2026, then the full albums (28 other song) from late July through the following month. Most of the tracklist is drawn straight from the book's ideas; a few tracks are just there to be fun.
Three songs — My Spoons, System Failure, and Rejected Special Interest — were written specifically to teach non-AuDHD people something real about what that's actually like. There's also an anthem, Too Much, Not Enough. I gave myself a different genre and set of constraints for almost every track so each one would feel distinct and match its subject properly, wrote them one at a time, and threaded callbacks between them so the whole thing holds together as one piece. Then I wrote a mid-album track and a closing track that each pull the main threads of everything else back together.
All of it is free and non-commercial — I'm not selling anything or chasing promotion. I just want to connect with people, and if even one listener finds something in it that makes them feel understood, that's the whole point. Listen, share, repurpose it however you like.
I'll say plainly: I have no traditional musical training, and I know the ethics of AI-trained models are a real, ongoing debate. This project wouldn't exist without tools like Suno and freemusic.ai. But the story, the lyrics, and the voice in every song are entirely mine — the AI helped with phrasing and production, not with what any of it means.
If you've got the time, I'd genuinely love a wall of text back — questions, disagreement, your own experience, whatever. That's the actual goal here: conversation about the ideas, not worried about views or shares.
